- Gun dog training for pointing and retrieving breeds $500.00 / mo (plus killed birds)
- Training programs includes, but is not limited to pointing, retrieving, and obedience
- A great program to introduce your young dog to birds and the gun, or for advanced work on experienced dogs
- We will also work with problem dogs
- All training is done on the preserve's outstanding upland and waterfowl habitat
- Upon picking up your dog, you will have the opportunity to watch your dog work in the field and receive coaching on how to handle your dog
- Dogs should be 6 months or older to start the program
- These shots are required and booster shots must be current:
- Bordatella (Kennel Cough)
- Distemper/Hepatitis/Lepto/Parvo virus
- Rabies
- 1 month minumum (30 days), but the average is 60 days
- Training period from April 1 through October 1

Training Packages: Puppy Package: This concise package is a 10 day course aimed at giving your 4 to 5 month old gun dog a head start. Your puppy will be introduced to: being handled on a check cord, different types of hunting cover, live birds, and gunfire.

Intermediate Training Package: This package is a 3 month training course that includes introduction to birds and gunfire.
Pointers - include pointing, steady to flush, obedience, and retrieving to hand.
Retrievers - emphasis on upland and / or waterfowl game, focusing on obedience and retrieving to hand.
Program concludes with 1/2 day upland hunt (10 birds) for you and a guest (if you desire) hunting behind your dog.
